Paopao ("Paopao," "we," "us," or "our") is a mobile app that helps
runners discover and join running events. Paopao is based in
the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Paopao app or website (joinpaopao.com), you agree to this
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Paopao.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information generated as you use
Paopao, including:
Account and profile information, such as your name, email address,
and mobile phone number.
Usage and device information, such as app version, device type, and
how you interact with the app.
Location information, if you choose to share it, so we can show events
near you.
Any information you provide when you contact support.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
Create and secure your account, including sending a one-time
verification code by SMS to confirm your phone number.
Communicate with you, including responding to support requests.
Understand how the Service is used and fix problems.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. SMS / text messaging
When you enter your phone number in the app, we send a one-time
verification code by SMS to confirm the number belongs to you. Messages
are sent only in response to your request.
Message frequency varies based on your activity (typically one
message per sign-up or login attempt).
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time.

Opting out of SMS may prevent you from verifying your phone number
and accessing certain features.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or
affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text
messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with
any third parties, except for service providers acting on our behalf to
deliver messages.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only in these situations:
Service providers: companies that help us operate
Paopao, such as cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and SMS
delivery (for example, Twilio). They may only use your information to
provide services to us.
Legal reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or legal
process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Paopao, our
users, or others.
With your consent: for any other purpose you agree
to.
5. Your choices and rights
Access, update, or delete: you can update your
profile in the app or request access to or deletion of your data by
emailing hello@joinpaopao.com. You
can also delete your account from within the app under Settings.
Location: control location permissions in your device
settings.
SMS: reply STOP to any message to opt out.
Marketing email: if we ever send marketing email,
every message will include an unsubscribe link.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your
information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No
method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot
guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
Paopao is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a
child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will
delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material
changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the
changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the
policy was last revised.
